CAPE COD SUMMER DAYS CELEBRATION

Hold onto the glories of summer! Before the leaves change and the first frost covers the ground, we are exhibiting art of Cape Cod and the Islands. The Conservatory's Falmouth campus provides a beautiful setting to display and view art. Our campus is located at the top of Falmouth’s “Art Hill” nestled against Beebe Woods Conservation Preserve.

Artists Wanted: Share the art you've been working on over the summer. For this show, we are only exhibiting images of Cape Cod and the Islands. Original (no duplicate prints) paintings, drawings, pen and ink, monoprint, fabric, mosaic, photography and more wanted for hanging in the Conservatory's vast exhibit space.

Entries: Artists may submit up to three original, wall-mountable pieces of art, large or small. All art must be wired and ready for hanging (no saw-tooth hangers or push hooks allowed). No clamped glass pieces will be accepted.

Receiving Dates: September 7 - 10, Tuesday-Thursday, 10:00am - 4:00pm.

Reception: Artists and Art enthusiasts alike, please join us on Friday, September 24, 6:00 - 8:00pm. Enjoy music and refreshments, alongside art of the Cape and Islands!

Cape Cod Plein Air Painters Exhibit

Phill Thompson

Open Weekdays, 9:00 - 5:00
West Barnstable Campus

The Conservatory presents "Chasing the Morning and Evening Light," an exhibit of the Cape Cod Plein Air Painters. Please stop by our West Barnstable campus to enjoy the inspiring artwork of Lora Barrett, Phillip Bergson, Robina Carter, Jane Eccles, Maryalice Eizenberg, William J. Maloney, Rosalie Nadeau, Merylle-Lee Thompson, Phill Thompson, and Joyce Zavorskas.

Cape Cod Plein Air Painters evolved in 2004 when several local professional artists decided to paint together on a weekly basis, to observe directly from nature, and to share ideas and expertise. The group travels to a different site each week, in all four seasons, to document a moment in time. The exhibit is open weekdays, 9:00 - 5:00 through August 27.
