Digital Music Lab - Gary Girouard and Staff

Our new Digital Music Lab provides students of all ages and proficiency levels with a remarkable new way to learn to love music. It’s an exciting new approach that combines the amazing versatility of digital pianos with powerful computer software to make learning a blast! Who knew learning could be this much fun!!! 8 weeks

Kids will be placed by age groups, 45-minute group lessons Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and Saturday - $250

Miss Amy’s Music Time
with Amy Doherty

Join “Miss Amy” for playful music and movement activities. Each child needs to be accompanied by a caregiver, and siblings of all ages are welcome.

Everyone participates in hands-on play with percussion, string and wind instruments. Learn rhymes, songs and games that promote a sense of fun while teaching rhythm, pitch, vocabulary and symbols.

6-24 months, Tues or Wed, 8:30-9:15 am, 6 weeks - $60 ages
2-4 yrs, Tues or Wed, 9:15-10:00 am, 6 weeks - $60 ages
3-5yrs, Tues or Wed, 10:15-11:00 am, 6 weeks - $60

Jug Band with Rob Rudin

A great, fun course for anyone who plays an instrument—or just loves music. You’ll be playing great American folk music and the blues with jugs, washtub bass, kazoo, jaw harp, washboard, rhythm bones, spoons, recorder, Diddly bow and you name it!

Learn new skills, learn to love music as you’ve never heard—or played—it! Performance at end of sessions.

ages 8-14, Thurs, 1:00-3:00 pm, 6 weeks - $125

 

Digital Music Lab with Gary Girouard

Who knew learning music could be this much fun! Our new Digital Music Lab provides students of all ages and proficiency levels a remarkable new way to learn—and learn to love— music. This exciting new approach combines the amazing versatility of digital pianos with powerfully intuitive computer software—to make learning a blast!

Students will explore sounds, textures, and effects and create music inspired by the week’s theme. Don’t forget to check out the Thematic Arts programs to complement your child’s musical experience. An exhibition extravaganza will be hosted for friends and family on Fridays.

ages 7-9, 9:30-11:00 am, 1 week - $175
ages 10-12, 11:00 am-12:30 pm, 1 week - $175

Conservatory of Rock
with Pat Ryan

This popular course is back! Whether you’re in a band and want to get better or want help forming a band, this is a great way to get started. Local guitarist/band leader Pat Ryan will help you with song writing and selection, arranging, what gear to buy, performing—everything you need to know to rock out to stardom.

The course is ideally suited for guitarists, bassists, drummers, keyboardists, and vocalists with at least 1-2 years on their instrument. Students will be paired with other musicians with similar experience and interests.

Course topics include: Basics of songwriting, the blues, improvisation, the role of the rhythm section, how to sound great in any room, dynamics and creativity and more!

ages 10+, 1 week, 4:00-6:00 pm, $150

Groups starting July 21 and August 4

 

 

 

Private Music Lessons

The Conservatory offers private and group instruction in all major instrument groups—keyboards, strings, brass, winds and percussion, and voice.

All ages - 6 weeks
30 min. sessions $150
45 min. sessions $225
60 min. sessions $300

NEW! Summer Band with Mr. Borning

Come play with the new Conservatory Summer Band. A great opportunity for next fall’s 5th and 6th Graders to improve playing skills and have fun. You’ll work with Band Director Mr. Tom Borning to cover all the basics to become a better player. All band instruments included.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m.
4 weeks starting July 8. $25 a week.
